That Crazy Texas Weather! Ice Storm '07
Man, a little bit of ice and everyone's scrambling to buy all the bread and meat at the supermarkets!
I can't imagine what happened in Austin when they got snow!

Feh. That's not a storm, that's my daily walk to work.
Seriously though - Stay off the roads unless you absolutely need to get somewhere, because without all-weather tires ice and snow are really bad news. Don't bother trying to heat your home to a comfortable level, because you don't have the insulation for that. Keep the temperature above 18 C (64 F), dress warm, and eat lots of oily foods (Fish, chocolate, milk and butter). Keep pets indoors if you can, because their ears freeze really quickly (So do yours. Wear a toque).
And get a pair of waterproof gloves or mitts, go make yourself a snowball, and ambush your brother.

All Corpus Christi has gotten is cold.
Ish.
Not cold enough to freeze anything. Although if you want to talk about lack of insulation...I think they traded that for hurricane proofing. I've never lived in a house down here that could reasonably deal with tempretures below thirty.
Stay safe all you northern people. Ice can be scary sometimes. Especially when nobody knows how to drive on the damn stuff.

ah. I've heard there was snow as far down as Austin..
And Fort Worth got a heavy cover of ice and sleet.
So no crazy people stocking up on bread in Corpus?

That's too bad. The crazed hoarding and looting is part of the joy of winter.

Nope. Most the crazy people here stock up on is beer.
...that might be what helps make them crazy.
