Agreed. I'm kind of obsessive about being able to edit my posts (which probably explains why I'm not more active on Twitter ), guess I'll just have to be more careful from now on. Another thing I noticed is that if I upload a higher res image (say wider than 800px) when I click on it to zoom in, it doesn't work, it just endlessly tries to load the image but never does. Maybe that was just the one instance, but from now on I think I'll just upload bigger images to my server instead of directly to patreon, that way I can post it as a link instead and not have to worry about any of that. These are minor gripes, but I figured I'd make a note on it in case anyone else experiences the same thing. I'm the SAME way with Twitter (and Tumblr, because even though you CAN edit after the fact, people can reblog the original version and you'll lose it). I eventually eased into it by prescheduling my posts. It was a little less real-time that way, but that let me write something, schedule it for a day later, and then think of all the ways I wanted to change it before it went live. And yeah, that's another thing Patreon doesn't have. That's weird about the bigger images, but I know if people get them by email, Patreon might have to compress them to get through spam filters. So yeah, links might be better.

Wish I could say that's the first time that's happened. I never thought about scheduling posts on tumblr, but that is a really cool idea . Scheduling would be great with Patreon too, hopefully the posting system will be tweaked this year, the service is still fairly new I think. For now it seems like it's mostly up to us to find the workarounds.

Re: Patreon
Well, I finally made a Patreon page. I was surprised that I've already gotten a few dollars pledged! I was skeptical if anything would happen, with my minimal promotion and rewards, but I think it was worth doing.

Re: Patreon
Since this forum is still opened, I had a question about patreon, as some know, I have one, but I was curious about one thing: Does anyone know if a person... let's say... becomes a patron much later, can they see the rewards from the previous months? ._. because I've seen a lot of people comment that it's best to start posting things after they've pledged, so I don't know, it just made me curious... Another reason is that I might need to take a few steps down from the amount of work that I do because of personal issues, and if that's the case I'd be happy to re-upload past months work just to keep everyone entertained. Any ideas on this?

I just pledged to support Tamuran and can now see everything they've ever posted. So once you're in, you're in for everything you're cleared to see.

Re: Patreon
I've always wondered, can they move from one tier to the next just to see everything and then move back down a tier...? Or does it make you wait until a pay period goes by...? Or does it just stay at the higher pay price and then readjust after?
I'm not sure any if my readers would be dick enough to do this, but it's a thing I've always wondered.

Re: Patreon
People can, unfortunately. I don't think they're as likely to if your campaign isn't super successful, since it seems to happen mostly with bigger campaigns where patrons start to feel anonymous.

Re: Patreon
Any idea on the payment tho? Does it stick to the highest tier they were in at that month or does it move with their current tier? (Does this make sense?)

Re: Patreon
I think it just charges the patron whatever pledge they're set to at the end of the month.
(Which sounds worrying but I've never had issues with it myself. I don't think abuse like that is common overall; the people who pledge to campaigns do so because on some level they want to see the content, and they can't do it anonymously since at a bare minimum patreon requires th to enter their credit card information before entering a pledge.)

teh hchano wrote: Lol yea I'm glad you asked, it's something I wondered about too. Same for your question. Someone just bumped up their pledge so now I'm curious as to what will happen because they'll get access to short stories and a big giant LP bundle, and the LP bundle is probably the hardest one I've worked on yet, and if they then decide to go lower Imma be upset. xD
