The numbers are interesting too - I suspect that we have about 10,000 sexless clones (drones?) that we know of. Not big enough to be an army, too big to be anything else. Unless, of course, there are other clone installations.

With only a nervous system, they have a very limited life span. They need a personality graft to do anything useful. If I was a very long-lived person with a low tolerance for risk, I could use them for meeting the real world. 5,000 to 10,000 is a bit of overkill, though. Very curious as to their real purpose.
