I love the controls on the fighter craft! It just looks like it should be deadly and manoeuvrable in space.

Speaking of Space, if he is going orbital he is going to have fun jinking cascade debris. Hope he can remember his fighter pilots training. (Though I do have to wonder just what a scientist is doing with training in a top line fighter craft...)

A little advance spoiler on this one (that won't do anybody any harm) ....Thalim went suborbital via a space shuttle type craft from Starfall to Deacharsier City on the far edge of the eastern ocean. This trip he's making to the coast is all in the atmosphere.

James Thalim learned to fly these back during the time that the Crystal One FTL ship was being put together. This model was also used to test some of the FTL tech that was used in the big ship.

He has about a couple thousand hours in this baby. And he's not the only one: Gage (who also has a lot of flight time in with helicopters), Jeremy Haas, Edgar, and Kate Adair all have a great deal of flight time logged in on craft like this one. Kate Adair actually has training in a number of atmospheric craft (Municipitality military paid for college) and was a good enough pilot that she was trained in VTOL fighter craft (this worlds equivalent to the Harrier Jets)

So is that a couple of thousand hours his time or relative to the planet?
