So does James Thalim need the shuttle for just transport to join the group or does gage need access to space for part of the plan. (Assuming I am right in thinking that is some form of Orbital/sub-orbital transport he is borrowing)

After all with the cascade still up in ordit there has to be easier ways of getting about the place than that.

But from space you have pretty much a view on any part of the world.

As of right now, Thalim is going to be trying to do a suborbital hop to get over to the other side of the Mist.

*minispoiler* Currently Ena MacSwain is in contact with some of the members of her House about arranging some type of pickup for Thalim when he crosses over.

If they are investigating the effects of rewriting reality (in the past), they could do that anywhere. The trick would be to figure out how to undo the previous changes that had produced mist and atomic clock problems. If the mist is part of this problem.

Maybe the mist has to do with a time warp or reality change brought about by previous experimentation. In any case, undoing previous work could have huge unintended consequences - of course damn near everything has unintended consequences. I can hardly wait to see what these are.
