Juathuur Battle Guide
There are so many things I'd like to add to the site but don't have time for right now, but this is one I think is doable in the near future... anyhoo I've been working on a rough outline for a sort of battle guide - basically a more in-depth look at Juathuur magic and the various styles each character uses. I don't generally like to take time in-comic to explain the ins and outs of battle magic unless its relevant to the plot, so this would be a way to supply that info to those interested. So I'm looking for feedback on the best way to organize/lay out such a thing... by character? by magic type (path)?
Also (and here's the fun part)... it would be useful to name the various attacks and such. I have sworn never to be like DBZ, so my characters are not about to start shouting super-fabulous technique names when they attack, but I think for the practical purposes of the guide some nomenclature would be an amusing bonus.
So if anyone has a great name idea for a particular technique, speak up! I think what I'll do is post the guide outline here as I work on it and y'all ca help me fill in the blanks.

I would most prefer some sort of interactive map to explain the magic. I don't know if you know flash, but if you could set that kind of thing up, starting with the 3 paths, click on a path, go more in depth on each, ending with the characters, I would like that. Maybe the strength of each user could be represented as...hmm, have you seen that Naruto episode where they're about to take the Chuunin exam and the guy with glasses has the cards? On the cards, skills are explained with a diagram with as many sides as there are skill-types. Starting from the center of the shape, the stronger a character is, the more space is filled in towards the outer edge. Enh, I'm horrible at explaining things. But anyways, character skills would probably be best found and explained in their bios, IMHO anyways. A battle map should strictly deal with the magic, and probably not the characters, otherwise you get too much info at once. [/Kez ramble]

Hmm interesting... I do know a bit of Flash.. haven't used it in a while... I *think* it's still kicking around on my computer... something I'll consider for the future but probably don't have the time to fiddle with at the moment. I need to get myself a minion to do web stuff for me, lol.
Ha, totally know what you're referring to regarding the Naruto thing... Kabuto's cards Hm... might be a way I could integrate something like that - have to think of how it would work exactly... I'm not sure I could rank characters according to skill... my mind would get all caught up on the complicating factors.
But I think you're right about the characters aspect... I could easily just integrate that info with the bios.

Okay, this is just some brainstorming for my own purposes to get it all flushed out of my head. But if I overlook anything please feel free to point it out.
WAVE PATH
The most straightforward form of Juathuur magic, and the most recognizable. What has been shown thus far in the comic falls into the following skill styles:
Radiance (Mijuu, Dej) - Projecting beams of light energy, basically the Juathuur version of a laser cannon. Signal flares and the like would be a less concentrated version of this.
Shock (Mijuu, Ivitho, Lif) - Involving electricty/electric bursts. Lif uses a Word combo form that allows her to use pinpoint precision.
Energy Blades (Mo, Ivitho, Thom, Sojueilo, Juoira, Ojuaro) - pretty self explanatory, come in many forms.
Sound Amplification (Rowasu) - sound as a weapon booyeah
Pyro (Bivv) - a specialized Wind combo form of Radiance used to create a controlable flame.
...more later

Kabuto...yeah, that guy. For some reason I can never remember his name. Orochimaru, Hinata, Gaara....but not Kabuto. *le sigh* Good to see another Naruto watcher around here!^^
*kagebushin no jutsu's outta here!*
And I swear that is the last time I will be so very corny.
