small time creators needed
working on a book from the perspective of artists, creators, etc. who haven't quite made it, so to speak- maybe not yet, maybe not ever. folks still working crappy retail jobs, watching others succeed around them, trying to start their comics and such online, struggling with student debts, screwed over by art school, working for exposure, that kind of thing. the goal is to present our voices in a way that's not whiny or pretentious, but more respectful and matter-of-fact- to give people an understanding and let our voices be heard. accounts can be anonymous or otherwise, hoping to publish around November, but we'll see where we are at that point. either send me a message here or at [email protected]. eager to see what everyone has to offer!

It might be just me, but perhaps providing a few optional guiding questions would be helpful? Just to give a starting point. e.g. "if you could go back X years and talk to your past self for a few minutes, what would you tell? Any advice you wish you'd known? Or just a word of encouragement?"
EDIT: Also, would the book be sold for profit? Maybe a contract is in order.
Call me keii'ii, keiiii, keii or even just kei!

Planning on self publishing for profit. It originally started with just me and some friends who wanted to contribute, but i suppose i would need a contract for the purpose of including others, anonymous or otherwise. What do you think would be most appropriate?
As far as specific questions, i was hoping to get into the meat of the problems we face- again, not in a whiny way, but for the sake of informing and such. Problems folks have getting jobs, getting payment from clients, paying off student debts, if art school is worth it, and so on. I might end it on a note of encouragement, but this is meant to reflect that the people involved aren't at a place of financial or artistic success/satisfaction, that they haven't made it. So many people haven't made it, and some never will

Hi, and welcome to the forums! We hope you have a good time here and find the resources useful!
A quick note - please don't double-post across subforums. Since this is the version of the thread with more traction, I'm going to remove the other.
Thanks, and again, welcome!
